Terms and Conditions

All Galicia Cycling trips are provided by Dean Fletcher (“we”, “our” or “us”), and are all subject to these terms and conditions. We have tried keep them as brief as possible. When you book this trip, you are confirming that you are over the age of 18, and that you have read and understood all these terms and conditions in their entirety.

Cycling Galicia understands that all the customers that partake in their tours do so with no medical conditions that make the activity of cycling dangerous to their health and wellbeing. All our tours are undertaken entirely at the client´s risk, and these risks can include traffic, accidents, inclement weather conditions for cycling, and illness during the trip. Cycling Galicia does not accept responsibility for illness, injury or death of any client during one of its holidays.

By the paying of the deposit to Cycling Galicia, the client will confirm that they have accepted and agreed to the terms and conditions.

All clients who wish to participate on Cycling Galicia tours must have adequate insurance and must provide proof of existing insurance before the start of the holiday. The minimum requirements of this insurance must cover cycle touring, repatriation in case of emergencies, and health and medical cover. We strongly advise all clients to take out the relevant holiday cancellation insurance and consider baggage loss and damage insurance. Also, if you decide to hire a bike, you will be held accountable for any damage to the bike. If you are unsure about this, please ask us.

Provided that all monies have been paid, we will not cancel your trip UNLESS we are forced by outside influences to do so. These events could include, but are not limited to, war threats, civil unrest, fire, abnormal weather systems, and natural disasters. This is usually known as “force majeure”.

All passport, visa and immigration requirements are the responsibility of the client, and if in any doubt you should check with the relevant embassies or consulates before travelling. We cannot accept any responsibility if your travel is refused as you are not compliant with these requirements.

Cycling Galicia do not arrange flights for clients, so each client must make their own booking to arrive in Porto, the starting and finishing point of each tour. Each client undertakes the transfers provided by Cycling Galicia to and from the airport at their own risk. Transfers are provided at stated times that will be agreed when the holiday booking is made. Any major delays or changes to flight schedules, which causes a knock-on effect to the transfer schedule may incur an extra cost. Baggage is also carried entirely at the risk of the client.

Insurance nowadays is vital on any sporting holiday. As accidents can happen, we have initiated the following rules for all those who participate in our holidays.

We insist that you have a policy for the duration of your holiday that covers you for road/touring cycling. Also, that it covers you for medical expenses and repatriation. Proof of this insurance will need to be produced before you arrive for your holiday.

We also recommend for your peace of mind, although we do not make it a compulsory part of your insurance that you take out holiday cancellation or curtailment. This would cover you if you were injured in the month before your holiday. Also, insurance against the theft, damage or loss of personal belongings or equipment during your trip.

Of course, we will endeavour to make your holiday enjoyable and memorable. However, if you do feel the need to make a complaint, please do so directly to a member of the team at the time, or in writing after the holiday.
